Melin Tool begins 2007 by announcing all new coating capabilities in our Cleveland facility! We've invested in state of the art coating technology from Platit in order to better:
- maintain excellent coated tool inventories
- preserve low costs associated with coating tools
- reduce lead times to apply coatings to uncoated tools

quality. New Rollomatic and Anca CNC finishing grinders along with
additional state of the art quality inspection equipment continue to be added.

production efficiency. |

ISO 9001:2000 Registration/
Conversion |
| Since 1997, Melin Tool's
quality assurance system has been certified to the ISO series of standards.
In March 2003, the conversion was made to the new version of the standards in
order to keep up with the strict standards set forth by this international
standards organization. Melin Tool is registered through Q.M.I
(Certificate #007003). QMI
is accredited through the ANSI-RAB and the Dutch Council for
Accreditation (RvA). |

We've Moved! |
Melin completed a move to a
brand new manufacturing facility located 10 minutes south of the old plant in
Cleveland, Ohio. The new building provides us with substantially increased
space for new machine additions (35% more square footage), along with on site
meeting facilities for distributor sales presentations, expanded inventory
storage, and many other nice features absent in our old building.Please take a moment to take

Our new logo above represents
our commitment to being your total end mill supplier. With
"cobalt" and "carbide" now prominently displayed within the
company logo, Melin Tool is firmly committed to expanding both of these two
types of end mills to meet all of your end mill needs. |

New Inspection Equipment |
In 1999 alone, Melin has
invested more than $150,000 in new inspection equipment. State of the art
inspection machines have been added to our arsenal of other inspection equipment
to insure that our tools remain the standard for excellence in carbide and
cobalt HSS end mills. |

New for 2001, Melin now offers a full line
of carbide drills ready to ship from stock.
Jobber length, stub, straight flute, and combination drill and countersinks are all
available. The response to our expanded
carbide end mill line has been excellent. For
this reason, hundreds of new carbide tools have been added to our new carbide catalog
released in Spring 1999. |

Manufacturing
Facility |
Our addition of 3 new Anca 7-axis CNC grinders, a new Hitachi-Seiki CNC
Lathe, and 2 new blasting stations in the past year and a half have substantially boosted
our production and enhanced the appearance of our end mills.We have also recently added a machining center to be used for tool
research and development. Lastly, a state of the art inspection system has been added
to our quality assurance arsenal. This machine will perform hundreds of quality
checks in a matter of minutes to insure that tools are produced within stated tolerances. |
